Urban Sprouts is an online community for people to learn and share about small-scale and urban gardening. Urban Sprouts brings you: resources; quality products; how-to’s; helpful information; virtual courses; individual consultation and planning for your urban/small space garden.

 

Who is Star?

I have been involved with organic, sustainable, heirloom and heritage farming for decades. From California Native Elder Community Gardens to the North Kohala Elementary School Garden on the Big Island of Hawaii and now in the Portland metro area of Oregon. I am dedicated and passionate about building food security, bringing fresh, nutritious food to all and building a community that is knowledgeable about natural and sustainable small scale methods of farming/gardening. You don’t need a lot of space to offset your food spending, know what’s going into your food, eat locally or just simply enjoy the experience of growing your own food.
